Wet areas done properly, from the waterproofing to the last bead of silicone. We co-ordinate the cabinetmaker, tiler and plumber so it lands as one job, not three.

The part you will never see again

Waterproofing is the only thing in a bathroom you cannot inspect after handover and cannot fix cheaply. Falls to waste, membrane turn-ups, junctions and the screed get done to the standard and photographed before they are covered. Ask us for the photos — we keep them.

One job, not three

The usual wet-area horror story is a homeowner standing between a cabinetmaker, a tiler and a plumber who each blame the other. When we run it, the sequence, the set-out dimensions and the site measure are ours to get right, and there is one person to call.

Kitchens inside a bigger renovation

Most of the kitchens we build are part of a larger job, which means the ceiling height, the glazing and the floor level are all still on the table. That is the best time to design a kitchen — before everything around it is fixed.

Do you manage the subcontractors?

Yes. Our trades are the same names on every job, and we schedule and supervise them. You get one person to call, and you’re never left standing between a tiler and a cabinetmaker working out whose problem it is.

Can we keep living in the house while you renovate?

Usually, for at least part of it. It changes how we stage the work, where we set up and how we seal the site each night, so tell us at the first visit — it affects both the programme and the price. Some stages, particularly structural work and wet areas, are easier on everyone if you move out for a fortnight.

How do you price a job?

We come and look at it first, always. From there you get a written, itemised quote that separates the build cost from provisional sums and prime cost items, so you can see exactly what is fixed and what still needs a decision from you. No lump-sum guesswork.
